Want to try a new skill, meet other locals who enjoy the outdoors, or simply take in the beautiful autumn scenery of Lake Meyer? Join Winneshiek County Conservation staff for kayaking at Lake Meyer Park on Tuesday, September 27^th at 6:00 pm.

The event is free and open to anyone age 10 or older. Registration is required by September 23^rd as there will be a limited number of kayaks available. Please call (563) 534-7145 to reserve your spot.

Vessels, paddles, and life jackets will be provided for registered participants. Feel free to bring your own kayak or canoe if you have one.

Staff will teach basic kayaking safety and techniques starting promptly at 6:00 pm. Then participants will have free time to paddle around the lake. No experience is required.

Lake Meyer Park is located at 2654 Lake Meyer Road, off Highway 24 between Calmar and Fort Atkinson. Participants should meet at the boat ramp on the east side of the lake.

In the case of inclement weather, the program will be cancelled.
