Friluftsliv Family Hike
Join Winneshiek County Conservation for the Friluftsliv Family Hike at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26th at Van Peenen Park! We’ll meet at the main entrance to Van Peenen Park off of Quarry Hill Road in Decorah and take the 1.7 mile round-trip Huginn Trail loop to find the Decorah Crater “point of impact” marker. Along the walk, naturalist Hanna will share the story of the Decorah Crater and its creatures.
No registration is required for this event. All ages are welcome. The trails are unpaved and may be muddy with slight inclines. Dress appropriately for the weather. Please arrive at the park early so that the hike may start promptly at 10:00 a.m. In case of severe weather, the hike will be cancelled. Keep an eye on our website and Facebook for updates.
