Intro to Kayaking & Canoeing Class
Join Winneshiek County Conservation for an Introduction to Kayaking & Canoeing at Lake Meyer Park on Thursday, June 5th, from 2:00-4:00 pm. We will learn basic water safety, paddling techniques, and kayaking/canoeing skills. This class is designed with beginning paddlers in mind.
Registration is required as materials are limited. Open to ages 10 and older. Children ages 10-14 must have an adult register and participate with them. The class tuition fee is $5. Register through Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) at this link.
Please meet at the Lake Meyer Park Boat Ramp. Kayaks, paddles, and flotation devices will be provided by Winneshiek County Conservation. We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, a towel, a refillable water bottle, and an extra set of clothing.
