Lake Meyer Campground Trunk-or-Treat
All are welcome at the annual Lake Meyer Campground Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 14th from 3:00-5:00 pm for an exciting afternoon of trick-or-treating around decorated campsites.
Winneshiek County Conservation staff invite you to dress up and join the fun! No registration is required to attend this free, family-friendly event.
Lake Meyer Park and Campground is located at 2546 Lake Meyer Road off Highway 24 between Calmar and Fort Atkinson. Staff will direct traffic as you arrive in the campground. Please carpool as much as possible due to limited parking space.
Volunteers Needed!
UPDATE 9/5/23: We only have 1 electrical site and a few tent sites left for campsite hosts to reserve! Thank you for the interest in volunteering at this event. Help out as a campsite host by decorating a site and distributing candy to trick-or-treaters. Those decorating campsites and distributing candy will receive one free night of camping the evening of Saturday, October 14th, though camping is not required to decorate a site. Reservations for campsite hosts must be made in advance.
Volunteers are needed to help with other event tasks. We are in need of:
- 2 Photographers: take photos of the event & at the photo booth
- 2 Greeters: welcome guests to the shelter & staff the Winneshiek County Conservation booth
- 1-2 Traffic Assistants: help our staff direct traffic flow & parking
- Clean-up Crew: help us put away displays and decorations – many hands makes light work!
If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know by emailing event coordinator Hanna Schmitt at education@winneshiekwild.com or by calling our office at 563-534-7145.
