Winneshiek County Conservation is offering a Build-Your-Own Rain Barrel workshop on Monday, April 15th at 5:30 pm at the Lake Meyer Campground Shelter.
We will teach you the basics of rainwater harvesting and how to use a rain barrel for your lawn or garden. Rain barrels help with water conservation, capturing rainwater runoff, and reducing water pollution. All supplies and tools will be provided. Participants will make their own rain barrels to take home and put into use!
Registration is required by calling our office at 563-534-7145. Supplies are limited to 12 barrels. There is a $40 materials fee for this workshop that may be paid by cash or check at the time of the program.
