Shed Antler Hunt
Join us for a Shed Antler Hunt at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 8th at the Lake Meyer Campground Shelter.
How does it work?
- In early spring, white-tailed deer bucks shed their antlers! They grow new antlers every year! The antlers drop on the ground, usually in the woods, and are chewed up by small animals like deer mice. Can we find any before the mice get to them?
- Start your hike from the campground shelter and go looking for shed antlers.
- If you find an antler, bring it back to the shelter to trade it for a prize! **We’ll keep the antler, but you take your prize! **
This fun and FREE outdoor event is for all ages. No registration required.
