Searching for Shorebirds at Cardinal Marsh
Winneshiek County Conservation will host a shorebird viewing walk at Cardinal Marsh on Sunday, May 12th at 2:00 pm. Join naturalist Larry Reis in looking for the wide variety of migrating shorebirds stopping over at Cardinal Marsh, as well as any land or water birds around.
Please meet at the marsh’s south parking lot, located approximately 3.5 miles south of Highway 9 on Madison Road.
This event is free and no registration is required. Bring binoculars if you have them.

This event is held in celebration of World Migratory Bird Day on May 11th, 2024. Organizations in over 50 countries will host birding events this year to spread awareness about the threats to migratory birds around the globe.
