Walden Pond, dedicated as the Roy and Genevieve Schultz Memorial Outdoor Discovery Area, is a recent addition to the variety of county parks managed by Winneshiek County Conservation. The park was donated by the Schultz family with the intent to conserve the area and provide a space for environmental education. Walden Pond is perfect for hiking through the woods and prairies, or picnicking on the hillside with a view of the pond. There is truly something for everyone who enjoys the outdoors there! Please respect the park boundaries and resources.
