
Wild Foraging at Lake Meyer
Forage for wild edible plants with Winneshiek County Conservation naturalists at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, May 6th at Lake Meyer Park & Campground.
The foraging hike will begin promptly at 5:30 pm, departing from the campground shelter to explore the trails around Lake Meyer. After the hike, we will bring our finds back to the shelter to cook and taste-test.
The event is free and open to all ages. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. The trails at Lake Meyer are unpaved and may be slippery. Participants should wear clothes and shoes appropriate for muddy conditions.
