How can we help the birds of Winneshiek County this winter? Join Winneshiek County Conservation staff in the basement of the Calmar Public Library on Sunday, January 8^th, 2023, from 2:00-3:30 pm to learn about winter bird feeding.

This free, family-friendly event will include information about our local birds, types of bird feeders, and recommendations for bird feeding in the winter. Participants will take home a better understanding of our native bird species and a handmade pinecone bird feeder!

*Pinecone bird feeders are made by rolling a pinecone in peanut butter and bird seed. Shortening can also be used as a substitution for peanut butter. If you would like to attend and have concerns about a peanut allergy, please let us know at (563) 534-7145 and we will make accommodations.
