Winter Birding Series
Expand your knowledge of winter birding with Winneshiek County Conservation naturalists! Programs will be offered on three Thursdays, Jan. 30th, Feb. 6th, and Feb. 13th from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Winneshiek County Courthouse Annex.
- Jan. 30th: Winter Bird Identification – learn about the common birds that live in Winneshiek County in the winter months and how to identify them
- Feb. 6th: Winter Bird Feeding – best practices for feeding birds through the winter
- Feb. 13th: Birding Apps & Technology – try out some user-friendly bird-watching apps and learn how to use technology to contribute to global citizen science projects like the Great Backyard Bird Count Feb. 14-17, 2025.
These programs are free and no registration is required. Presentations will be geared towards adults, but youth are welcome with an adult caretaker. The Courthouse Annex is located just south of the courthouse building at 201 W Main St. Decorah, IA.
