Winter Fun Day at Lake Meyer Park
Will we get snow this December?? We hope the answer is YES, but even if it’s not we have some fun outdoor activities planned for you!
Winneshiek County Conservation will host a public hiking program at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27th at Lake Meyer Park and Campground. The program is free and open to all.
- Participants are welcome to meet at the park and hike with their own group, or join a naturalist for a walk around the trails. For those wishing to join a naturalist, meet at the shop in the Lake Meyer Campground at 2:00 pm.
- WE HAVE A SURPRISE ACTIVITY PLANNED FOR THIS EVENT! Visit the Facebook Event Page for clues and more information!
- In the case that we get good snow conditions, we will also offer cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in addition to hiking on your own. All equipment will be provided and no prior experience is necessary. Activities will be determined by staff pending weather conditions.
- Registration is not required, but RSVPs are appreciated. Please call (563) 534-7145 or email education@winneshiekwild.com to let us know if you plan on attending.
