The park features 90 acres.
Chipera Prairie contains some areas of native prairies. Others are being reverted back to natural habitat. An excellent site for bird watching.
Location: Located 4.5 miles south of Fort Atkinson on Highway 24. Turn right/northwest on 128th Street (gravel). Cross the railroad tracks and take an immediate right. Follow the access road to the prairie.

Removal of plants, flowers, fruits, seeds, etc. is prohibited except upon written permission of the Winneshiek County Conservation Board.
Dogs are prohibited between March 15-July 15 each year in wildlife areas such as Chipera Prairie to protect wildlife.
