Volunteers are a central part of how we accomplish everything we do! In 2023, volunteers served nearly 1,500 hours with Winneshiek County Conservation for an estimated value of over $47,000.
There are many opportunities for volunteers, including:
- helping with special events and programs like our Ice Fishing Derby, Family Fishing Clinic, and Campground Trunk or Treat
- counting trail users
- researching park history
- helping with park cleanup and natural resource management
- building or cleaning birdhouses
- conducting species inventories
- and more!
We can work with people of all ages and abilities and with individuals or groups.
