Ice Fishing Tips:
- Plan to ice fish when new ice is at least four inches thick and a clear blue color.
- Always ice fish with a friend and check the ice before walking on it.
- Be sure to pack a five gallon bucket, ice auger, ice fishing rod, tackle box, and other equipment.
- Dress in layers of thin, loose clothing with a moisture wicking base layer, a waterproof outer layer, head and hand coverings, warm socks, and insulated boots.
